Well, I take some comfort in your assertion that it got better after this. :)
We had people do this kind of thing in the Shelter Jordan stairwell every so often. Once it was like 2 AM and the YWAM group was singing in the stairwell -- not too melodiously, one might add -- and as a good nightman I went to shush them. They couldn't understand how anyone would not like off-key singing at 2 AM.

lack of respect for others corporately. sad story.
stairwell are nice and echoey though, making it quite fun to sing in there :)
ps, a little bird told me you're planning on coming to canada soonish...is this true? cuz if so...a stop in calgary is altogether necessary
