.to whom it may concern.

Why are you so far from me?
In my arms is where you ought to be
How long will you make me wait?
I don't know how much more I can take
I missed you
But I haven't met you
Oh how I want to
How I do
Slowly counting down the days
Till I finally know your name
Ooo the way your hand feels round my waist
The way you laugh
The way your kisses taste
I missed you
But I haven't met you
Oh how I want to
How I do, How I do
I missed you
But I haven't met you
Oh how I missed you
I haven't met you
Oh but I want to
Oh how I want to
Dear whoever you might be
I'm still waiting patiently.

'50s housewife

amy and i did a little photoshoot today, inspired by the laundromat.
(just a caveat: i would never make a good '50s housewife)

who doesn't read paradise lost while vacuuming?

what a joy it is to iron my husband's work shirts!

there is little more fulfilling than folding freshly dried sheets and towels!

.meet caris.

mother and daughter (snapped against jen's will, shh!)

great crying face!

big sister kylie holding caris

tummy time!

she has incredible hair!
kylie and summer

another great crying face

.ingrid.

i'm on another ingrid michaelson kick. i love her music, and i love how relate-able her lyrics are. here's a version of her song "sort of" (please ignore the mistakes and flubbed ending, i didn't feel like recording it again, haha). hopefully soon i'll have another one up, after i finish figuring out the chords.

my, how easily a sparkle can be dimmed
hidden by a looming shadow

soon may the clouds part
and the glimmer reignite
more gloriously
